Welcome to Kui Zhu Chinese Language Services Co., Ltd.

Our company is run by Kui Zhu, both a Norwegian-accredited Government Authorized Translator and a Government Authorized Interpreter in Chinese – Norwegian/Norwegian-Chinese, and the only one presently with both accreditations in Norway. She has been working for more than 20 years now in the language industry, offering high quality translation and interpretation services to government agencies, judicial sector, business sector and private customers.

As an English Major from East China Normal University in Shanghai, she travelled to the Norwegian city of Bergen in 1990 to go on with bachelor studies at the University of Bergen. After having achieved the Norwegian bachelor degree «Cand. Mag.», she took the one-year program «English for Business and Commerce» at NHH, the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration. This program is designed to prepare candidates for the National Accreditation Exams for Government Authorized Translator. Later she studied both business and law at university and college level for shorter periods of time. To further professionalize her interpretation skills, she has in recent years attended and passed three courses for interpreter education at the University College of Oslo and Akershus.

During the past 20 years, Kui Zhu has taken on various assignments covering categories ranging from official visits, technical exchanges, conferences/events, business negotiations and institutional cooperation etc. and areas ranging from industrial relations, travel industry, seafood export, pharmaceutical production, oil and gas technology to primary healthcare etc. Kui Zhu has thus been developing herself as a professional translator and interpreter with a broad knowledge base. Frequent visits to China, either due to work or privately, has given her the opportunity to stay updated with changes and developments in the Chinese language and in the society as a whole.

Kui Zhu has always viewed knowledge of English as indispensable in her work as translator and interpreter. As a matter of fact, she has from time to time found herself in a work situation that is trilingual. So in addition to Norwegian-Chinese translation and interpretation, this company also offers translation from English to Chinese, and interpretation between English and Chinese.
